This is a combined course of:

  • EPA RMP (40 CFR 68) Compliance/RMPlan Submission & Operating Procedure Development and Implementation

This 2-day course presents the significant revisions to EPA’s risk management program (RMP) rule (40 CFR 68) published in March 2024,  and proposed revisions published in February 2026   and how these revisions could affect your prevention program, emergency response program, and risk management plan (RMPlan) submittals. Learn about the new chemical hazard information that will be required to be made available to the public. Learn the basic requirements for mandated hazard assessments (including offsite consequence analysis using RMP*Comp), prevention programs, emergency programs, and RMPlans, as well as enforcement initiatives such as EPA audits. Learn how to register and use EPA’s web-based RMP*eSubmit for preparing and certifying RMPlans.

  • Operating Procedure Development and Implementation C142

During this 2-day course, attendees learn how to develop written operating and maintenance procedures. Our course focuses on accomplishing this in a clear, concise, and consistent manner while appropriately addressing hazards and regulatory requirements. Attendees learn the right way to collect information about operations-related activities and then how to convert that information into an appropriate, consistent format. We prepare participants to write clear, precise instructions which include neither too much nor too little detail. In addition, they will receive an introduction to critical issues such as document control, management of change, procedure validation, and safeguarding against procedural errors.
