This template, and associated instructions, are intended to function as instructions for customizing the ABS Group Cyber Risk Management (CRM) Manual. The CRM manual is a very robust cyber program document. Most of the sections in the CRM manual are based on CRM program objectives as derived from the MSC-FAL.1/Circ.3 on 5 July 2017, Guidelines on Maritime Cyber Risk Management.

Everything in the CRM template can be edited and modified as needed to meet the company’s liking. In this instruction document, the person making updates to the CRM manual is referred to simply as the “editor.” For simplicity and convenience, specific items are called out to guide the editor and focus his or her efforts on key items in the CRM manual.

ABS Group encourages the editor to read through all the steps from start to finish, identify items that require additional information or assistance from others, and proceed to update the manual once the editor understands what he or she will be editing.
